Description	:	Kathleen Ann Rahlf was born August 22, 1950 to Doug and Vivian (Herreid) Toben in Watertown, SD. She was raised near Clear Lake, SD where she graduated from the Clear Lake High School. Upon graduation, Kathy’s first job was working at the Watertown Memorial Hospital. On May 9, 1970 Kathy was united in marriage to Larry Rahlf at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. Read More	Kathleen Ann Rahlf was born August 22, 1950 to Doug and Vivian (Herreid) Toben in Watertown, SD. She was raised near Clear Lake, SD where she graduated from the Clear Lake High School. Upon graduation, Kathy’s first job was working at the Watertown Memorial Hospital. On May 9, 1970 Kathy was united in marriage to Larry Rahlf at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. Following their marriage they lived in Clear Lake where Kathy worked at ITC from 1971 to 2011. Larry passed away on June 6, 2007. Kathy continued to live in Clear Lake and had a strong will to live and unwavering faith in God. The love and prayers of family, friends and many more carried her through her illness. Kathy passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview in Minneapolis, MN at the age of 66. Kathy was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and possessed a true servant’s heart. Kathy faithfully cared for family and friends through her delicious cooking and baking. She always lived by the Golden Rule! Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Do a loving act of kindness, make someone laugh, send a card, give a hug or say “I Love You” in her memory. She was active in many community service organizations: Jaycette’s, Clear Lake Ambulance Swimming Pool Committee, Summer Rec Committee and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Kathy’s true passion in life was being a mother and a grandmother. She and Larry enjoyed spending their time at their children’s activities. She had great pride in becoming a grandmother. She enjoyed all the grandchildren’s activities and they were the center of her life. Grateful for having shared Kathy’s life are her two children: Amy (Monte Stonewall) Paulos and Todd (Roxi) Rahlf; four grandchildren: Paige and Leah Paulos, and Rylee and Colby Rahlf; two brothers: Greg (Darla) Toben and Clark (Cindy) Toben; two sisters: Joy Prehn and Brenda Toben; mother-in-law, Eva Rahlf; two brothers-in-law, Keith (Rita) Rahlf and Gordon (Iva Jane) Rahlf; sister-in-law, Mary (Jerald) Johnson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Larry Rahlf; infant son Troy Rahlf; parents Doug and Vivian Toben and father-in-law LeRoy Rahlf; brother Daniel Toben and brother-in-law Dennis Prehn Blessed be her memory. - Houseman Funeral Home
