Description	:	SALEM - Kathryn Jane "Tink" Layden, 91, of 1811 East Third St., Salem, Ohio, died at 6:35 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at her home. She was born Aug. 5, 1919 in Salem, the daughter of the late James H. and Cora Mae (Bloom) Giffin. Kathryn had been employed at the former Jacobson Dry Good Store for 19 years. She was a member of the Salem First Presbyterian Church and a 1937 graduate of Salem High School. She was born Aug. 5, 1919 in Salem, the daughter of the late James H. and Cora Mae (Bloom) Giffin. Kathryn had been employed at the former Jacobson Dry Good Store for 19 years. She was a member of the Salem First Presbyterian Church and a 1937 graduate of Salem High School. While living in Florida, she was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Sarasota and was a member of the "Vocal Lears Chorus Group" and helped in the church nursery. Her husband, Robert Layden, whom she married June 30, 1961, preceded her in death June 14, 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Sandie Poole of Raleigh, NC and Bonnie Burchette of Geneva, Florida; four grandchildren; four nieces, Martha J. Giffin, Judy Heintz, Polly Sobel and Buffy Dunham; and three nephews, James R. Fisher, David M. Giffin and Joel Fisher. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Wayne Wilson on Feb 12, 1953; two sisters, Marye Fisher and Moynelle Jones; a brother, James Giffin; grandson, Ian Poole; and a nephew, Roger Jones. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
