Description	:	KEITH'S OBITUARY Keith Eugene Dorrel, of Okeana was born on March 20, 1937 in Brookville, a son to Gaylord and Mary (Meyers) Dorrel. He served his county in the United States Air Force from 1956 until 1960. Keith worked locally at the Brookville Lake and IMI. Read More	KEITH'S OBITUARY Keith Eugene Dorrel, of Okeana was born on March 20, 1937 in Brookville, a son to Gaylord and Mary (Meyers) Dorrel. He served his county in the United States Air Force from 1956 until 1960. Keith worked locally at the Brookville Lake and IMI. On November 24, 1989 he married Mary Ann Scherrer in Hamilton, Ohio and she survives. Keith was a member of the Whitcomb United Methodist Church and the Bernard Hurst Brookville American Legion Post #77. He was very active in the Legion – serving as Past Commander and current Vice Commander, and providing military honors as part of their firing squad. Keith was also a past Chapter Director of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA), and Camp Ante-Up Hunting Camp in Kane, Pennsylvania. In his spare time he loved hunting, golfing, gardening and bee keeping. Keith was an all-around nice guy, made friends with everyone, and enjoyed life to the fullest. On February 25, 2019 at the age of 81, he passed away at his residence after a valiant battle with cancer. Those surviving who will cherish Keith’s memory include his wife, Mary Ann Dorrel; daughters, Vicki Calvin, and Angie (Kevin) Gift, both of Medina, OH; son, Michael (Angela) Dorrel of Jacksonville, FL, and seven grandchildren, Samantha Gift (fiancé Mate Popkhadze), Kaylin Dorrel, Sarah Calvin, Audrey Calvin, Dane Dorrel, Christian Dorrel, and Charles Dorrel. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kirby and Steven Dorrel. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Pastor Steve Rundel will officiate funeral services at Whitcomb United Methodist Church on Friday at 10 a.m. and burial will follow in Big Cedar Cemetery.
