Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church in Loup City with the Rev. Marty Egging officiating. Mr. Goc was born on March 28, 1949, in Loup City, the son of Andrew and Evangeline A. (Hurt) Goc. He married Joyce A. Czaplewski on Sept. 25, 1971, in Loup City. He is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Goc of Loup City; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Aimee Goc of Shelley, Idaho, Russell and Shelly Goc of Ashton and Robin Goc of Loup City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Frank Koperski of Farwell and Patty and Mark Eurek of Loup City; and his mother-in-law, Bernadine Czaplewski of Uehling. He also is survived by grandchildren, Alex, Andrea, Matthew, Courtney, Kailey, Kole, Teylor, Logan and Blaine; great-grandchildren, Eli, Noah and Jackson; sisters-in-law and their spouses, Cyndi and Frank Horvatich of Oakland, Conni and Marv Little of Lincoln and Geri and Morgan Meier of Elm Creek; and brother-in-law and his spouse, Kenneth and Amanda Czaplewski of Hutchinson, Kan. Kenny grew up on farms southeast of Loup City and attended Austin country school and Loup City Public Schools. After completing his education, he worked in construction for Tony Roschynialski, for Billy Day at Loup City Commission Co. and Schwaderer/Oltman Construction. He served in the U.S. Army from May 1969 to April 1971 and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. He returned to Loup City and married Joyce, and the couple lived on a farm on the southeast edge of Loup City their entire married life. Over the years, Kenny always farmed but also worked for Bill Bowness Farms, Leonard Equipment in Loup City, the city of Loup City and, for the last 20 years, he had worked for the Sherman County Roads Department until the time of his death. Kenny was a member of St. Josaphat’s Catholic Church, American Legion Post 48 of Loup City and the National Rifle Association. He loved spending time with his grandchildren on the farm and giving them rides on his four-wheeler. He also enjoyed construction, farming, guns, John Deere and his excavator. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert “Rob” Goc on May 6, 2013; his father-in-law, Joseph Czaplewski; sister-in-law, Marge Zimmer; brother-in-law, David Czaplewski; and a niece, Denise Koperski.
