Description	:	Graveside services for Kenneth D. Whitson, 58, Oskaloosa, will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Clinton Cemetery in Clinton. Mr. Whitson died Sunday, Sept. 8, 1996, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Cabool, Mo., the son of Velmer Egbert and Eula Belle Riley Whitson. He attended Mt. Grove, Mo., schools before moving to the Lawrence area in 1951. He attended McLouth High School. Mr. Whitson died Sunday, Sept. 8, 1996, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Cabool, Mo., the son of Velmer Egbert and Eula Belle Riley Whitson. He attended Mt. Grove, Mo., schools before moving to the Lawrence area in 1951. He attended McLouth High School. Mr. Whitson drove a truck for the Noria Dehydrating Plant for 10 years and for Penny's Readymix for seven years. He worked for Power Plants at LaCygne, St. Mary's and for a pipeline company in Ottawa. His hobbies were guns, traveling, camping and fishing, and he was a member of the Worldwide Church of God. He married Barbara Ann Thomas on Sept. 27, 1959, in Tonganoxie. She survives the home. Other survivors include a son, Kenneth D. Whitson Jr., of the home; a daughter, Cathy Ann Fountain, Montverde, Fla.; two brothers, Loyd Whitson and Larry Whitson, both of Lawrence; two sisters, Sophia Howell, Lawrence and Roma Parish, Eudora; and a granddaughter.
