He was born on August 10, 1930 at Dighton, Kansas, the son of Ira and Nellie (Graves) Norton. Kenneth was a graduate of Ford High School. On July 15, 1950 he married Ruth Melia at Dodge City. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. A longtime resident, Kenneth was a brick mason and also owned a custom hay operation for many years. Ken later worked for the city of Dodge City in the water department until his retirement. He was a member of the Wilroads Gardens Christian Church. Kenneth is survived by four sons, Don (Karen) Norton and Kenton Norton of Wichita, Kevin (Barbara) Norton of Dodge City and Kris (Susie) Norton of Lawrence; eleven grandchildren, Kenneth (Melinda)Norton, Diana, Kylie, Chase, Eric, Zach, Brett, Derek, Justin, Will and Lily Norton and one great grandson, Caleb Norton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, parents and a great granddaughter, Mia Nicole Norton. Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Mr. Jeff Hiers presiding. Memorials to Park Plaza Resident Organization in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel.
