Description	:	Kenneth Sellers Kenneth -Sellers son of Fred L. Sellers and Harriet M. Sellers was born on a farm near Quimby on September 15, 18S6. His father died in 1896 and thereafter, his mother moved with her family to Cherokee. Kenneth lived with his mother in Cherokee and attended the public schools until his graduation from the Cherokee high school in 1904. He thereafter attended a business college in Sioux City from, which institution he was graduated in the spring of 1905. He at once entered the employ of the federal government as chief clerk of the allotting agent of Indian reservations in South Dakota. He remained in this employment for three years when he was appointed private secretary to Governor Vessey of South Dakota in 1909. He was re-appointed to this position by Governor Byrne, Governor Norbeck and Governor Mc- Master, which position he held for nearly fifteen years with honor and distinction to himself and the state of South Dakota. After leaving the employment of the state of South Dakota he again entered the Indian service in which work he was greatly interested, having learned to speak the Sioux Indian language. At the time of his death to-wit, May 23, 1929,at his mother's home in Cherokee he was employed as principal assistant to the boundary commissioner in settling the boundary dispute between the states of Colorado and New Mexico. He was laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery at Cherokee May 26, in the family burial lot. He leaves to mourn., his death his mother and one brother and a host of friends throughout the middle northwest.
