Description	:	Kent A. Esau, 69 years of age, of Beatrice passed away at his home Wednesday afternoon, July 6, 2016. He was born on May 13, 1947 in Beatrice to Robert A. and Ruth (Hamm) Esau. He attended District 21 (Freeman) School from Kindergarten to 8th Grade. He was a 1966 graduate of Beatrice High School and a 1968 graduate of Fairbury Junior College majoring in Agriculture. Read More	Kent A. Esau, 69 years of age, of Beatrice passed away at his home Wednesday afternoon, July 6, 2016. He was born on May 13, 1947 in Beatrice to Robert A. and Ruth (Hamm) Esau. He attended District 21 (Freeman) School from Kindergarten to 8th Grade. He was a 1966 graduate of Beatrice High School and a 1968 graduate of Fairbury Junior College majoring in Agriculture. Kent and Pat Spier were married on August 8, 1987. He was baptized as a teenager and remained a member of the First Mennonite Church, R. Beatrice and was attending the Wymore Church of Christ. He had been involved with 4-H incorporated, serving as President for 1 year, and was a lifetime member of the Gage County Ag Society. He was active with dairy cows in 4-H for 11 years. He finished his adult life farming with his father and brother until his retirement in 2011. He “did it all,” but driving the tractor was his passion. He lived his entire life on the Esau family farm except for 14 years when he got married. Kent enjoyed farming, traveling- especially his trip to Germany and Switzerland, playing cards at family gatherings, playing softball, fishing, Husker football, and was a pilot. He collected beer signs and horse statues. He spent over 20 years bowling on teams at different lanes. Kent especially enjoyed his family and attending all of his grandchildren's school activities, and cared for and loved helping others. Survivors include his wife Pat; children Lonnie Meyer and wife Diana of Blue Springs, Donnie Meyer and wife Angela, Jeffrey Spier and wife Julie, Pamela Edmond and husband Wally, and Lisa Munstermann and husband Jay, all of Wymore; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Robert W. Esau and wife Barbara of Hesston, KS; sister Ann Esau Kerl and husband Gerald of Lecanto, FL; a nephew; 2 nieces; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
