Worked on the family farm northwest of Pleasanton Military: veteran of the Vietnam War, U.S. Army 1964-1965. Returned to the Pleasanton area and worked for Lammer's Land Leveling. Married: Aug. 23, 1969, to Maria Oliveros in Pleasanton. Lived in Kearney, worked for Rockwell International and later for Union Pacific Railroad for 21 years; he retired for health reasons. Received a lung transplant in 2000. Activities: member of the church in Kearney, American Legion Post 52, Kearney Eagles Lodge 2722 and the Knights of Columbus, St. James Council; Enjoyed woodworking, cooking and canning. Survivors... Was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Donna Kaps.
