Description	:	Laura Alice Mitchell was born in Appanoose county Iowa, 27 August 1856, and was married to William Boston in 1875 and in 1879 came to Kansas, first settling in Washington county. In 1883 the familty moved to the farm near Langley, which has since been their home.To this union five children were born - three sons and two daughters, the eldest of whom died in 1897. Read More	Laura Alice Mitchell was born in Appanoose county Iowa, 27 August 1856, and was married to William Boston in 1875 and in 1879 came to Kansas, first settling in Washington county. In 1883 the familty moved to the farm near Langley, which has since been their home.To this union five children were born - three sons and two daughters, the eldest of whom died in 1897. Mrs. Boston passed away at the family home at 11:00 a.m. Friday, 11 July 1913 at the age of 58 years 10 months and 11 days. For 25 years she has been a member of the M.E.Church, faithful in the performance of every duty, a faithful attendant at church services, even though the condition of health bade her remain away. Hers was in truth the Christian life. In her passing the church has lost a zealous worker, the family a devoted wife and mother, and the community a friend and neighbor whose place cannot easily be filled. She leaves a husband, two sons, Jesse and Sam; two daughters, Ida John and Jennie Young; three brothers Eli, Alex and Tanner Mitchell and two sisters Mrs Fred Merryweather and Mrs. William Stover to mourn her death. Funeral from the Langley church, Saturday afternoon, 12 July. Dr. Sweet of Salina, late pastor and Rev. Dussair, present pastor of the church officiating. Burial in Langley cemetery.
