She passed away Friday, August 6, 1999, at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 24 days. She graduated from Deweese High School. Read More	LaVonne Yeteive Nielsen, daughter of Earl and Ruby (Ferebee) Gharring, was born January 12, 1918, on a farm north of Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away Friday, August 6, 1999, at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 24 days. She graduated from Deweese High School. January 28, 1936, Yeteive was united in marriage to Jens Peter Nielsen at Mankato, Kansas. To this union was born four children. Yeteive was a member of the First Baptist Church in Superior, the Baptist Women's Group, the Ladies Golf Group, and the Olive Chapter #63 Order of the Eastern Star since April 17, 1964. She received her 25 year pin in 1989. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Pete, on April 29, 1991. Survivors include two sons, Larry Nielsen and his wife Bonnie of Smithville, Texas, and Doug Nielsen and his wife Virginia of Crete, Nebraska; two daughters, Dorthea Holt of Shelbyville, Tennessee, and Gloria Nobles of Superior, Nebraska; one brother, Bryce Gharring of San Diego, California; 12 grandchildren, Cindy Ray, Carol Caputo, Teresa Puckett, Chad Nobles, Andre' LaCoss, Larry Nielsen II, March Hawley, Anthony Nielsen, Kelli Nielsen, JoLe Nielsen, Jeff Nielsen and Thad Nobles; and 28 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, August 9, at 11 a.m., at Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska, with Pastor Mark Diehl officiating. Music was "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged Cross", with Alicia Ferguson as soloist and Glenda Thayer-Hiner as organist. Order of the Eastern Star services were conducted by the Olive Chapter #63. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Superior, Nebraska. Pallbearers were Andre' LaCoss, Larry Nielsen, Gary Puckett, Jeff Nielsen, Raymond Nielsen, and Alvin Nielsen. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior and Nelson was in charge of the arrangements.
