Y. the previous evening, having been; struck by an auto while crossing a street there. He was taken to a hospital, where it was found he had sustained a skull fracture. He had accompanied his sister,. Florence, and brother, Vincent Feauto, to Buffalo only the day before the accident happened. Vincent, who had been at home on a visit, is employed as assistant foreman in the Bell Aircraft plant in Buffalo and his brother and sister planned to take positions in the same plant. Sunday night the sad news came to Mr., and Mrs. Feauto and family that Lawrence had passed away in the hospital at Buffalo without regaining consciousness. He was 22 years of age, and was one of a family of six brothers and three sisters. They, with the bereaved parents, have the deep sympathy of their many friends in this community, where the young man had spent his entire life. The body arrived here from Buffalo last evening, accompanied by his brother, Vincent, and sister, Florence, and Arthur and Wm. Albright. Funeral services will be held in St. Patrick's Catholic church at 10 a.m. Friday, Rev. Fr. Chas. Ernst officiating. Akron Register Tribune Thursday, June 10, 1943 Akron, Iowa LOCAL YOUNG MAN DIES FROM INJURIES Funeral Services For Lawrence Feauto Held Here Last Friday The community was deeply saddened in the loss of a life-long Plymouth County young man when Lawrence Feauto, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Feauto, passed away in Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, N. Y., at 9:40 p.m., Sunday, June 6, 1943. Lawrence and his sister, Florence, accompanied their brother, Vincent, back to Buffalo as did also their friends, Arthur and William Albright, all of whom planned to take jobs at the Bell Aircraft plant there to help out in the war effort. They left Sioux City at 11:45 a.m. June 2 and arrived in Buffalo at 10:30 a.m. the following day. About six hours after arriving there, Lawrence with William Albright, started to cross a street when one car struck Lawrence and hurled him into the path of another seriously injuring him. He suffered a fractured skull and other injuries which caused his death four days later. He did not regain consciousness. Everything that was humanly possible was done but to no avail. Lawrence Joseph Feauto was born January 7, 1921, and was 22 years and 5 months of age. Before going to New York he was employed at the Earl May Seed Store in Sioux City and also at the KSCJ radio station. Lawrence was a kind and loving disposition always making those happy about him and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his departure his parents, and five brothers, Vincent, assistant foreman of the Bell Aircraft plant, Buffalso, N.Y.; Arnold, Francis, Orville, Kenneth Ambrose, and Ronald Gene, and three sisters, Florence Agnes, Dorothy Arlene, and Mary Lucille. One brother, Raymond, preceded him in death in infancy, in 1917. There was a large attendance of sympathizing friends of the family at the funeral ser4vices held at St. Patrick's Catholic Chruch last Friday forenoon at 10 o'clock. Rev. Fr. Chas. Ernst officiated. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery here. Pallbearers were Arthur and William Albright, Francis Blum, Archie Rozell, Clyde Buehre, and Carl Hartman.
