Description	:	Lawrence (Larry) was born on March 26, 1929 in Watertown, South Dakota to George and Gertrude (Blanchard) Ice. He graduated from high school in 1947 from Marshall, Minnesota where he met the love of his life, Nancy Jane Pickett. He attended college at South Dakota State University and graduated with a Civil Engineering degree. On August 27, 1950, he married Nancy and they raised three sons, Bryan, Dwayne, and Warren. Read More	Lawrence (Larry) was born on March 26, 1929 in Watertown, South Dakota to George and Gertrude (Blanchard) Ice. He graduated from high school in 1947 from Marshall, Minnesota where he met the love of his life, Nancy Jane Pickett. He attended college at South Dakota State University and graduated with a Civil Engineering degree. On August 27, 1950, he married Nancy and they raised three sons, Bryan, Dwayne, and Warren. Larry served as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Japan from 1952-1954. After being honorably discharged, he worked for the Corp of Engineers on the Gavins Point Dam. Then later for the highway department in Miller, SD. In 1960, he moved his family to Pierre and was employed at the Department of Transportation for 35 years as an operations engineer and later regional engineer. Larry had a passion for fixing things and building things such as the home they lived in, a fiberglass boat, and so much more. He rebuilt numerous cars when cars were simpler. Along with that, he loved to hunt, fish and garden. After retirement, he spent much of his time at a computer. He was known as the tech support person for many of his friends, family and church. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, his son, Bryan and his parents.
