Mr. Novak attended Kansas State University and was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corp in the Pacific. He retired from Goodyear in 1980 as a foreman after 33 years. Read More	Lawrence L. "Bob" Novak, 85, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at an area nursing home. He was born March 5, 1919, the son of Chauncey and Nora Novak in Lost Springs, Kansas. Mr. Novak attended Kansas State University and was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corp in the Pacific. He retired from Goodyear in 1980 as a foreman after 33 years. He farmed in the Mayetta area until 1999. He attended St. Francis Xavier Church, Mayetta, and was a member of Knights of Columbus #9535. He married Theresa Allen on November 17, 1951. She died November 13, 2000. Survivors include 3 daughters, Connie Barnes, Cathy M. McLaughlin and Patti Kent, all of Topeka, a brother, Virgil "Pat" Novak, Van Nuys, California, eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mr. Novak will lie in state from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka KS 66614, where a parish rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Xavier Church, c/o St. Dominic Church, 416 Ohio, Holton KS 66436, Most Pure Heart of Mary School, 1750 SW Stone, Topeka KS 66604, and Hayden High School, 401 SW Gage, Topeka KS 66606
