Wurm, son of George Sr. & Rosalia (Monhardt) Wurm was born March 14, 1931 on the family farm southwest of Kramer, NE. Several years later he moved with his folks to a farm east of Crete, NE. He attended Crete Public School until 1944 when his family moved to a farm southwest of Plymouth, NE. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran School at Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1951. He helped with farming at home and also worked for neighbors.... Wurm, son of George Sr. & Rosalia (Monhardt) Wurm was born March 14, 1931 on the family farm southwest of Kramer, NE. Several years later he moved with his folks to a farm east of Crete, NE. He attended Crete Public School until 1944 when his family moved to a farm southwest of Plymouth, NE. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran School at Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1951. He helped with farming at home and also worked for neighbors. On November 26, 1961 he was married to Marian Schneider at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Plymouth, NE. For 5 years they lived south of Harbine, NE, where he farmed. In Sept. 1966 they moved to his parent's farm where he continued to farm. He served on St. Paul's Lutheran School Board for 3 years. His hobbies include farming, helping others and visiting with family and friends. Lawrence Wurm passed from this world on June 22, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Marian,of Jansen, NE; daughter, Joann Kerwood and husband Doyle of Fairbury, NE; son, Donald Wurm and wife Tammy of Plymouth, NE; grandchildren, Chelsea Sigmund, Mikayla Wurm, Johnathan and Elizabeth Kerwood; great-grandson Gage Haltom; brother, Marvin Wurm and wife Norma Jean of Fairbury, NE; sisters-in–law, Joyce Wurm of Reynolds, NE, LouAnn Wurm of Fairbury, NE, Hilda Remmers of Beatrice, NE; brother-in-law, Edwin Schneider of Plymouth, NE; nieces, nephews and cousins. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin Wurm and George Wurm, Jr.; granddaughter, Allison Wurm, brother-in-law, Herman Remmers and nephew Randall Wurm. Visitation will be 9 am-9 pm, Wed., June 25, at Harman-Wright Mortuary, Plymouth, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, June 26, 2014 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Plymouth, NE, with a Family prayer service at 10 am, at the church. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial is established to the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
