Description	:	PEORIA, Ariz., Lee O. DeJonge, 79, of Peoria, Ariz., died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, in Glendale, Ariz. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Roper and Sons Chapel in Lincoln, with Lesa Eichenberger officiating. Mr. DeJonge was born July 7, 1928, at Hildreth to Ommo and Jacobena (Raveling) DeJonge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores. Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter and son-in-law, Diane DeJonge-Ryan and John Ryan of Peoria, and a sister and brother-in-law, Bernetta and Cread Pettey of Overland Park, Kan. Mr. DeJonge was born July 7, 1928, at Hildreth to Ommo and Jacobena (Raveling) DeJonge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores. Additional survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eiven and Melvin; and sister, Ella Swanson. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He earned a master's degree in education from UNL in 1957, and Certificate of Specialization in Educational Administration and Supervision from UNL in 1970. His employment included superintendent of schools in Greenwood (1955-57), Trumbull (1957-58), North Loup/Scotia (1958-63); bank examiner (1964-65); director of teacher placement for UNL (1965-82); and realtor for DeJonge Realty and Woods Bros. (1982-98). His memberships included Pawnee County Farmer Member, American Legion Post in Shubert; Lincoln Board of Realtors, St. MarkÕs United Methodist Church (1967-2006) and Willowbrook in Sun City, Ariz., (2006-07); and Beta Sigma Psi Alumni. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or Christian Church Foundation c/o the family.
