Description	:	Lelia Mae Hunter of Grasonville, MD died on November 21, 2011. She was 91. Born at the Hermitage in Queenstown, MD on April 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Kersey and Julia Young Sewell. She attended school in Grasonville, MD and, in January 1934, she married John Edison Hunter of Queenstown, MD. He predeceased her on March 6, 1988. Born at the Hermitage in Queenstown, MD on April 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Kersey and Julia Young Sewell. She is survived by her children: James "Dickie" Hunter, Jr. and Jerry Hunter, both of Queenstown, Timothy Allen Hunter, Sr. of Wye Mills, Sylvia Taylor of Chester and Pamela Hope Harrison of Chestertown; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Martha Starkey, Mary Sparks, Ethel Bennett, Violet Butler and Betty Sewell; and her brothers, John and Cooley Sewell. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Chester, where friends may call from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Easton. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor Program, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312; or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Maryland Chapter, 2219 York Road, Suite 302, Timonium, MD 21093.
