Fahrbach, Sr. Lena Mary Veesart, daughter of Peter and Barbara Veesart, was born November 1, 1881, at Belleville, Ill., and died June 17, 1952, at the Abilene Memorial hospital, at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 10 days. She moved with her parents to Newman, Kan., near Topeka, in her early youth. On February 19, 1901, she became the wife of Carl G. Fahrbach. Fahrbach, Sr. Lena Mary Veesart, daughter of Peter and Barbara Veesart, was born November 1, 1881, at Belleville, Ill., and died June 17, 1952, at the Abilene Memorial hospital, at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 10 days. She moved with her parents to Newman, Kan., near Topeka, in her early youth. On February 19, 1901, she became the wife of Carl G. Fahrbach. The Fahrbachs established their home at Grantville, Kan., where they lived for the next 10 years. After leaving Grantville, they lived at Berryton and vicinity for another six years before moving to Navarre in 1923, where they continued to live until her death. Soon after their marriage at Grantville, Mrs. Fahrbach accepted Christ as, her savior and became a member of the Methodist church. Her denominational affiliation remained unchanged until she and her husband established their membership and church home in the Navarre congregation of the Church of the Brethren in 1950. Mr. and Mrs. Fahrbach were the parents of 12 children, the sixth one, Dorothy Mae, preceding her mother in death at, the age of 20 months. Besides her husband, Carl G., Sr., of Navarre, Mrs. Fahrbach is survived by seven sons and four daughters, as well as 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The sons and daughters are Mrs. Helen Hatfield of Navarre, Mrs. Mildren Ehank of Abilene, George of Topeka, Fred of Chicago, Ill., Paul of Belleville, Philip of Hebron, Neb., Mrs. Lucille Wallerstedt of Chicago, Ill., Dean of Sylvia, Carl G., jr., of Newton, Wayne of Wichita, and Mrs. Betty Frigon of Topeka. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Carrie Montague of Urbana, Tex., and one brother, Joseph Veesart of Grantville, along with other relatives and a host of friends who have been saddened by her unexpected passing. Funeral service was held from the Church of the Brethren at Navarre on June 19, 1952, with the Rev. Elmer L. Dadisman officating. Interment was in Grantville cemetery at Grantville, Kan., a short graveside service being held with old neighbors and friends gathered there.
