Description	:	Lena Wilhelmina (Rosburg) Goslar (1898 - 1989) Lena Wilhelmina Goslar, the daughter of Adolph and Elizabeth Stammer Rosburg, was born on March 31, 1898, near Ricketts, Ia., and died on May 18, 1989, at St. Lukes Medical Center in Sioux City at the age of 91 years. Read More	Lena Wilhelmina (Rosburg) Goslar (1898 - 1989) Lena Wilhelmina Goslar, the daughter of Adolph and Elizabeth Stammer Rosburg, was born on March 31, 1898, near Ricketts, Ia., and died on May 18, 1989, at St. Lukes Medical Center in Sioux City at the age of 91 years. Lena grew up on the family farm, attended a rural school and finished her education in the Immanuel Lutheran School in Soldier Township. She helped on the family farm and on Dec. 12, 1917, she and Edward Goslar of Charter Oak, were united in marriage at St. John's Lutheran parsonage in Charter Oak. This union was blessed with nine children. Edward and Lena lived in the Berne and Ute area all their married life. They retired from farming in 1955, but continued to live on the family farm. Edward died on Dec. 16, 1988, and Lena continued to live on the farm. Lena was baptized as an infant and on March 31, 1912, was confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Soldier Township. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Charter Oak. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved the out-of-doors: her garden and flowers. She also enjoyed crocheting. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Edward; a number of brothers and sisters, several in infancy; one daughter, Audrey Klockgether; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandson and one son-in-law, Alfred Sievers. Survivors include her children: Lola Mae and her husband, Herbert Sievers of Ute, Wilma Sievers of Kiron, Phillip Goslar and his wife, Leona of Ute, Irma and her husband, LaVern Wessel of Ricketts, Lois Jean Goslar of Ute, Edward C. Goslar and his wife, Lois of Ute, Shirley and her husband, Norman Gosch of Ute and Ronald Goslar and his wife, Lou Anna of Ute. Also surviving are a son-in-law, Henry Klockgether of Charter Oak; 26 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one sister, Maria Leeper of Mapleton; one sister-in-law, Selma Rosburg of Charter Oak and one brother-in-law, Otto Goslar of Denison. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Charter Oak. Vicar Carl Eckhoff officiated at the services with interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery at Charter Oak. Mrs. Judy Eckhoff was organist and Mrs. Angela Gebhardt was soloist. Selections were "Amazing Grace" and "I'm But a Stranger Here." The congregational hymn was "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." Honorary pallbearers were Richard Sievers, Gary Goslar, Steven Wessel and Gregg Wessel. Serving as active pallbearers were Larry Sievers, Myron Sievers, Mark Goslar, Randy Wessel, Chad Goslar, Todd Klockgether, Timothy Goslar and Brad Gosch.
