Description	:	Lola M. Sievers October 22, 1918 - February 8, 2018 Lola Mae Goslar Sievers was born on October 22, 1918, about one-half mile east of Berne, Iowa. She was the daughter of Edward Goslar and Lena (Rosburg) Goslar. She was baptized in Christ December 8, 1918, and confirmed her faith at St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak June 12, 1932, by Pastor Amstein. She was a member of St. John's all her life. Sievers October 22, 1918 - February 8, 2018 Lola Mae Goslar Sievers was born on October 22, 1918, about one-half mile east of Berne, Iowa. She was the daughter of Edward Goslar and Lena (Rosburg) Goslar. She was baptized in Christ December 8, 1918, and confirmed her faith at St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak June 12, 1932, by Pastor Amstein. She was a member of St. John's all her life. Lola attended rural and Lutheran School in Charter Oak through the 6th grade, after which she helped her parents during the depression years. She worked at different homes including a doctor's home in Battle Creek. Lola and one of her sisters even worked for 25 cents a week for a neighbor. On September 7, 1941, Lola and Herbert Sievers were married at St. John Lutheran Church by Pastor Walter Schrader. To this union, two children were born: a son, Larry in 1942 and daughter, Joan in 1945. Her pride and joy were her family and especially her great-granddaughters. She was a hard-working farmer's wife, who loved baking, her chickens, gardening and helping on the farm. She had strong religious convictions and supported her church and enjoyed her neighbors and community. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Herbert; her son, Larry; son-in-law, Norman; brothers, Phillip and Edward; sister, Audrey; several in-laws; nieces and nephews. Survivors include: daughter, Joan Nobbe of Ute, Iowa; two granddaughters, Norma Jo Majerus of West Des Moines and Christi (Anup) Kejriwal of Issaquah, Washington; three great-granddaughters, Amaya, Sanya and Lizzie; four sisters, Wilma Sievers, Irma (Lavern) Wessel, Jean Goslar and Shirley Gosch; one brother, Ronald (Lou Ann) Goslar; one brother-in-law, Henry Klockgether; other relatives and friends.
