Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Calvary United Methodist Church at Stratford, with Rev. Kent Kastler officiating. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery, east of Stratford. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 11:00 a.m. at the church on Friday. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery, east of Stratford. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 11:00 a.m. at the church on Friday. Lenora Angeline Bergeson, daughter of Ollie and Anna Olson Bergeson, was born October 5, 1911 on a farm west of Jewell. She received her education in the Jewell, Iowa area. On August 20, 1932, she married Melvin Arthur Anderson at Princeton, Mo. The couple resided near Stratford, Iowa and later started farming southeast of Burnside, Iowa. They bought a farm near Otho, Iowa. They retired in 1981. In 1989, they moved to Sioux Falls, returned to Stratford in 1994 and moved to Crestview Senior Living at Webster City in 1999. To be closer to their family they returned to Sioux Falls in January of 2001. Her employment included telephone operator at Stanhope; Trinity Regional Hospital, Friendship Haven, Boston Store and Younkers and a sewing instructor with Singer, all of Fort Dodge. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Melvin; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Lauren Haacke and son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Betty Anderson, all of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Janelle Anderson of Lamoni, Timothy Jones of Seattle, Washington, Kenneth Jones of Sioux Falls, Brenda Johnson of Circle Pines, Mn., Blake Anderson of Keystone, Ia.; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Eugene LeRoy Anderson in 1940 and a brother, Leonard Bergeson. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, while living at Sioux Falls attended Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She enjoyed painting, sewing, knitting and crocheting afghans.
