He and Mrs. Ream were injured in an automobile collision about two years ago and neither fully recovered. Later cancer developed that caused his death. Mr. Ream was the son of Joseph Ream and wife was born near Bippus March 25, 1868. His earlier life was spent in North Manchester but for the past 20 years he had lived in Elkhart. He was twice married, his first wife being Annie Lindzy. Six children were born, three of whom survive. They are Mrs. Halderman, Otto Ream of Texas and Mrs. Gus Bergman. Later he married Mrs. Sarah Hostettler, who survives. In addition to the two sisters, a brother, Guilford Ream lives at South Bend and another sister, Mrs. Curtis Murphy lives at Dudley, Missouri. Mrs. Goldie Gamphrey of Elkhart is a step daughter. Those from a distance who accompanied the body to North Manchester were Mrs. Ream, Gulford Ream and wife of South Bend, Mrs. Charles Salesman of MIshawaka, Mrs. Joe Brady of Elkhart , Kenneth Ream of South Bend, Mrs. A.Z. Bowman and son Kenneth, of Peru and Edward Haddock, wife and daughter of Mishawaka. The son was on the way from Texas but did not arrive in time for the funeral.
