Funeral services were held Thursday, November 17, first from the home at 12:30, and then from the Baptist church in Dannebrog at 1 o'clock. Pastor W. L. Tillman was in charge. Leora Alice Hughes was born October 21, 1874 and died November 14, 1932 at the age of 58 years and 24 days. She was united in marriage to Arthur Wilson, December 22, 1892. To this union nine children were born, five girls and four boys. Two of the children preceded her in death. One son at the age of twenty-three years, and one infant daughter at the age of three days. Those she leaves to mourn her death are her devoted husband, Arthur W. Wilson and her children, Mrs. Marie Graham, Kearney, Nebraska, Mrs. Erna Cervaney [sic], Kimball, Nebraska, Mrs. Pearl Schnuelle, of Cairo, Nebraska, Mrs. Leona Schnuelle of Dix, Nebraska, Orville Wilson, Grand Island, Nebraska, Willard and Robert Wilson at home; thirteen grand children and her aged mother, Mrs. Alice E. Hughes of Loup City. Four sisters, Mrs. Fannie [sic] Burt of Loup City, Mrs. Nettie Pielstick of Cumro, Nebraska, Mrs. Emma Daddow of Loup City, Mrs. Clittie McFadden of Rockville, Nebraska; two brothers, Homer and Winifred [sic] Hughes of Rockville, Nebraska; her father and two brothers having preceded her in death. She was converted and joined the U. B. church at the age of thirteen, and after having moved to a new community, joined the Presbyterian church and lived a conscientious life until death. She left word she was submitting to the will of God she worshiped and was reconciled, ready and will to go if it was God's wish. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother, an untiring Christian worker. She enjoyed doing the will of her maker and with this she quietly passed away, leaving the rest in his hands.
