He passed away on Feb. 24, 2008, at Cassville, Mo., at the age of 66 years. He was united in marriage to Rose Alexander in 1963 in Pasadena, Texas, and to this union, three sons and six daughters were born. He passed away on Feb. 24, 2008, at Cassville, Mo., at the age of 66 years. He was united in marriage to Rose Alexander in 1963 in Pasadena, Texas, and to this union, three sons and six daughters were born. He later married Darlene Stark on Jan. 1, 1999, at Cassville, Mo., and to this union, one daughter was born. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Edith Chaney; one sister, Madge Sechrest; one brother, James Everett Chaney; and one grandson. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Chaney of the home in Cassville, Mo.; three sons, Roy, Lee Roy and Billy, all of Texas; seven daughters, JoAnne, Diana, Berniece, Jennifer, Amanda and Crystal, all of Texas and Erica of Cassville, Mo.; one brother, Roy Chaney and wife Reva of Birch Tree, Mo.; three sisters, Hazel Grandstaff and husband Donald Lee of Aurora, Mo.; Helen Carroll and husband Dorsey of Purdy, Mo., and Sue Hicks and husband Jim of Washburn, Mo.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Bud was born and raised in the Birch Tree area. He later moved to Texas and lived there for several years before moving back to the area. Bud drove a truck for more than 30 years before he retired due to health reasons in 1986. Bud moved to Cassville, Mo., in 1999. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and trading. Bud was a generous person, who was always thinking of others. He never met a stranger and had many friends. Bud was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and attended church in Cassville, Mo.. Bud was a loving husband and was the best dad in the world. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at the Church of God of Prophecy in Birch Tree, Mo., with Roger Smith officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Birch Tree, Mo., under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home of Birch Tree, Mo.
