They lived in Vienna, Clark, Lake Norden and later moved to Hayti, where Lester farmed and was the janitor at the Hayti school for 20 years. Lester was born on April 25, 1914 on a farm west of Vienna, South Dakota, to Stewart and Lena (Cluts) Keiser. He attended school in Vienna. In 1936, Lester married Jeanette Dede at Bryant, South Dakota. They lived in Vienna, Clark, Lake Norden and later moved to Hayti, where Lester farmed and was the janitor at the Hayti school for 20 years. They then lived in Watertown before moving to the care center in Bryant. He was a member of the Hayti Lutheran Church and was also a member of the Pleasant View Cemetery Association for many years. Lester is survived by one son, Bill (Karen) Keiser, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and one daughter, Janice (John) Egan, of Sun City, Arizona; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one great grandson. Burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Hayti, South Dakota. Arrangements by Crawford Funeral Chapel.
