Description	:	Mrs. Leta Brookhouser Mrs. Let Brookhouser, 84 died Friday, Dec. 18, at Lundberg Memorial Hospital. she had undergone surgery two weeks earlier for a fractured hip. She had been living at the Creighton Care Centre. Leta E. Foreman, daughter of Ira and Estella Butterfield Forman, was born April 5, 1886, in the Venus community. She spent her childhood on the Foreman homestead 18 miles northwest of Creighton and attended the Pleasant Hill school. She was married to William T. She had been living at the Creighton Care Centre. Leta E. Foreman, daughter of Ira and Estella Butterfield Forman, was born April 5, 1886, in the Venus community. She spent her childhood on the Foreman homestead 18 miles northwest of Creighton and attended the Pleasant Hill school. She was married to William T. Brookhouser Nov. 26, 1903, at the courthouse in Center. Six children were born to them. Mrs. Brookhouser was affiliated with the United Brethren Church at Walnut. She also lived for a time at Neligh. Survivors include three sons, Ralph of Orchard, Hugh of Brunswick and Roy of Omaha; 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Foreman of Simi, Calif., and Marcellus Foreman of Sidney. She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, a son Earl, another son in infancy, and daughter Ione Boelter; four brothers, Jay, Claude, Floyd and Leslie, in infancy, and a sister, Blanche Gross. Funeral services were held Dec. 21 at Hengstler's Chapel, Creighton, with the Rev, Jim Miller of the Grace Bible Church officiating. The Emil Bartos family sang one hymn and Mrs. Leonard Pahl sand two selections, all accompanied by Linda Phal. Burial was in the Enterprise Cemetery north of Orchard. Pallbearers, all grandsons, were Gary Brookhouser of Omaha, Larry Brookhouser of Norfolk, Ray Brookhouser of Carroll, Ia.
