They moved to Defiance County in the year 1846, and forty-one years ago this month settled on the farm at Cicero where he died. He was the father of eight children. He was married to Phebe Sprague Dec 6, 1840. They moved to Defiance County in the year 1846, and forty-one years ago this month settled on the farm at Cicero where he died. Funeral services were conducted from the house on Saturday, and he was buried in the Six Corners cemetery. He was a kind father and a good citizen, and will be sadly missed by his many friends. I.K. Cole, of Colby, Wis., Seth R. Cole and wife, of Ithica, Mich., Lewis S. Cole and wife, of Schoolcraft, Mich., and John E. Cole, of East Peoria, Ill., were in attendance at the funeral. "Colby Phonograph, Colby, Clark Co., WI, published 24 November 1892 Died, at his home at Cicero, Ohio, on Friday, Nov. 11th, 1892, Lewis Cole, aged 72 years, 7 months and 11 days. The deceased was the father of I. K. and C. R. Cole of this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.). He, with his wife, visited here about eight years ago and during that visit made many friends here. I. K. Cole left on the limited on the morning to the day he died and reached Cicero in time for the funeral and returned home last Thursday evening.
