COLE Phebe Sprague Cole was born at Fowler, St. Lawrence County, N.Y., May 5, 1820 and died at her home July 16, 1910, age 90 years, 2 months and 11 days. Her early life was spent in New York and here. December 6, she was united in marriage to Lewis Cole. To this union, were born ten children, seven of whom survive her: Ira King (sic) and Charles R., who reside at Colby, Wis., Seth R., who lives at Ithic (sic) Mich., Lewis S., whose home is at Schoolcraft, Mich., Chester H., of Yove City, Kansas, Mrs Sarah... COLE Phebe Sprague Cole was born at Fowler, St. Lawrence County, N.Y., May 5, 1820 and died at her home July 16, 1910, age 90 years, 2 months and 11 days. Her early life was spent in New York and here. December 6, she was united in marriage to Lewis Cole. To this union, were born ten children, seven of whom survive her: Ira King (sic) and Charles R., who reside at Colby, Wis., Seth R., who lives at Ithic (sic) Mich., Lewis S., whose home is at Schoolcraft, Mich., Chester H., of Yove City, Kansas, Mrs Sarah Stone, of Milford township and Lincoln E. of Hicksville township. Mr. Cole's death was in 1872. Mrs. Cole had removed to Ohio in 1846, settling in Hicksville township, but a little later moving into Milford where she has spent the greater part of her long life. She was a Universalist in belief having been a member of the old Universalist church at Logan. In the later portion of her life she had been a strong believer in Spiritualism. Her life was remarkable in many things. Very few of the countless numbers who are born reach the great age of four score and ten. She had lived on the place on which she died since 1851. Another significant fact, she had always been a great help in sickness and many are the glowing tributes which might be spoken of her life. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Leon Couch, assisted by the West Milford Christian church choir. Interment at Six Corners.
