Description	:	HEATH, LILA MARIE—Lila Marie Barker Heath was born to Mahlon and Lula Enyart Barker on December 18, 1897, at Douglas, Otoe county, Nebraska. She passed away April 14, 1991, at the Fillmore County Hospital at the age of 93 years, three months and 27 days. In 1911, Lila moved to Geneva along with her parents, brothers Earl and Carl, and sister Ione. She attended Geneva Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1917. Read More	HEATH, LILA MARIE—Lila Marie Barker Heath was born to Mahlon and Lula Enyart Barker on December 18, 1897, at Douglas, Otoe county, Nebraska. She passed away April 14, 1991, at the Fillmore County Hospital at the age of 93 years, three months and 27 days. In 1911, Lila moved to Geneva along with her parents, brothers Earl and Carl, and sister Ione. She attended Geneva Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1917. Lila was united in marriage to Hugh Burnett Heath on October 16, 1919, at Geneva. To this union three children were born, Harlan, Dean and Marilyn. Before moving to town in 1928, the family lived on the farm in Geneva township where Lila was a charter member of the Geneva Township Club, the first extension club in Fillmore county. She was also a charter member of the Fillmore County Hospital Auxiliary, Kensington and an active member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh, who passed away August 30, 1940, her parents, two brothers, a sister, son, Harlan and an infant granddaughter. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Dean Heath and Marilyn Domeier, and daughters-in-law Roberta Heath, Lois Heath and son-in-law, Louis Domeier. Her pride and joy were her seven grandchildren, Barbara Evans, Sharon Smith, Larry Heath, Dave Domeier, Mary Halbur, Jim Domeier, and Sandra Snyder. Her 14 great-grandchildren lovingly called her “Granma Lila.” Funeral services were conducted from the United Methodist Church in Geneva on Tuesday, April 16, 1991, with Rev. Stanley Rider officiating. Bernita Lomax accompanied Delwin Myers who sang “In the Garden and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Pallbearers were Larry Heath, Dave Domeier, Jim Domeier, Glen Halbur, Mike Snyder, and Arnold Jirsa. Interment was in the Geneva Public Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal April 18th, 1991 page 6.
