Harvey passed away at the Akron Community Hospital, Wednesday morning, August 17, 1960, at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 4 days. LAST WEDNESDAY Rites Are Held Last Friday For Long-Time Akron Resident Mrs. Lillie B. Harvey passed away at the Akron Community Hospital, Wednesday morning, August 17, 1960, at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 4 days. Lillie Bedard Harvey was born to Samuel and Nellie Bedard on February 13, 1893, in Union County, South Dakota. Nearly all of her full, rich years were spent in the Hawarden- Akron vicinity. On August 8, 1911, she was united in marriage with Orlando Harvey. To this union were born eleven children, all of whom are still living. She united with the First Church of Christ in April of 1939 and became very active in the Christian Women's Fellowship of that congregation, serving as both a president and secretary of that organization. She also, was active in the V.F.W. (Women's Auxiliary She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Orlando, four sisters: Mrs. Fleeta Bonnichsen, of Dorena, Ore.; Mrs. Margie Wilkens, of Hawarden, Ia.; Mrs. Gladys Heald of Denver, Colo.; and Mrs. Dorothy Smith, of Gillespie, Ill.; and her eleven children, Mrs. Ellen Holtgrewe, Remsen, Ia.; Mrs. Lois Waterbury and Mrs. Maxine Boetger, both of El Paso, Tex.; Mrs. Francis Rosenbaum, Akron; Mrs. Margie Clarey, Gardenia, Calif.; Glen, of Hawarden, Ia.; Donald, John, Kenneth, William and Orlando, Jr. all of Akron; also thirty-five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. ?She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the First Church of Christ, Akron, Richard Brown officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Casket bearers were: James Harvey, Donald Johnson, Gayland Small, Fred McPherson, Larry Harvey and Melvin Trometer. The honorary pallbearers were: Henry Frerichs, Albert Elliott, Albert Grant, Herbert Cummins, Lloyd Lemen, and Charles Hendricks.
