Description	:	LLOYD STERLING DIED SUDDENLY Mr. Lloyd J. Sterling, well-known and highly respected retired business man, died suddenly in the McCready Memorial Hospital Tuesday. He was 74 years of age. Several weeks ago Mr. Sterling was involved in an automobile accident, near his home on Hall Highway, suffering several broken ribs and other injuries. It appeared that he was recovering from the accident until a few days before his death, which was attributed to conditions arising from the accident. Born here, he was the son of Mr. W. Jerome Sterling and the late Mrs. Lavinia C. Sterling. Mr. Sterling was a genial, courteous and helpful man. He had for years been engaged in the seafood business, and was an expert carpenter, pursuing that profession for a long time. He retired about two years ago, but had prepared to enter the seafood business again this year. Lloyd Sterling had many warm friends, for he was a friendly man himself. He was generous, sympathetic, a really fine citizen, interested in public affairs, and had been active in Republican politics. His death came as a shock to the whole community. Mr. Sterling was a long time member of Immanuel Methodist Church, and an active member of Crisfield Lodge No. 1044, B.P.O. Elks. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock this afternoon, Friday, in the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. E. W. Cursey, pastor of Immanuel Methodist Church. Burial will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park. Bearers will be members of the Crisfield Lodge of Elks, and the order will also hold graveside services. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Annie V. Daugherty Sterling; a son, Lloyd J. Sterling, Jr., of Baltimore; a grandson, George William Sterling of Baltimore; his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. Jerome Sterling; three brothers, Benjamin H. Sterling of Crisfield, Milton Sterling of Albany, Ga., and Irwin S. Sterling, of Sterling, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Lydia Purnell of Crisfield, Mrs. R.
