Lonnie was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Estherville. He died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. He was a 1960 graduate of Sherburn, Minn. High School. Lonnie was born Dec. 30, 1942, in Estherville. He died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. He was a 1960 graduate of Sherburn, Minn. High School. On July 26, 1964, Lonnie was united in marriage to Barbara Marriott in Jackson, Minn. After their marriage they lived in Estherville where he worked for Estherville Creamery, Fagre Construction and Emmet County Secondary Road Maintenance where he retired as a supervisor after 29 years of service. He was an active member of the Estherville Fire Department. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, trap shooting, refinishing furniture and antiquing. He loved traveling but most of all, Lonnie loved his family and friends. Left to cherish Lonnie's memory are his wife, Barbara, of Estherville; brother, William and Era Hoffmeyer of Petersburg, Minn.; two sisters, Sandra Mixell of Fulda, Minn. and Joy and Chuck Zwiebahmer of Milford; two sisters-in-law, Katie and David Larson of Afton, and Nancy Marriott of Estherville and nieces and nephews. He has been preceded in death by his parents; brother, Merrit, and his wife, Evie, and brother-in-law, Dale Marriott. Memorials may be sent to the Estherville Fire Department.
