Glasco Sun, March 21, 1968, page 1: Lloyd Teasley Dies at Concordia March 15 Lloyd Teasley, life-time resident of the Glasco community, died March 15 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Concordia. He was 70 years, 7 months and 20 days of age. Lloyd Virgil Teasley, second son of James Monroe and Martha Winget Teasley, was born July 26, 1897, on the Teasley homestead northwest of Glasco. He attended Fairview School near his home and Glasco schools, and was a member of the Glasco Methodist Church. He was united in marriage to Rosie Smith November 1, 1931 at Beloit. His entire life was spent as a farmer and stockman on the farm where he was born. In 1960 he retired due to ill-health and moved to Glasco. Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Earl and Dale of Glasco; one sister, Esther Hammar of Laurel, Maryland; nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were conducted from the Glasco Methodist Church Monday, March 18, with Rev. Gorden Tasker officiating. Interment was in the Glasco Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Davidson, Lyle Williams, Bill Dopp, Leo Adkins, Dick Louthan and Dan Williamson. Organist was Nadine Teasley and singers were Ethel Sanford and Ava Portenier. Nancy Mihm and Vera Guipre were in charge of flowers. Dean Funeral Home of Glasco was in charge of arrangements. (Thank you to Cheryl White, member #47328595 for the additional obituary)
