Description	:	Lois Elaine Quartz On August 2, 1941 at 3 o'clock in the morning the angel of death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Quartz, taking from its midst their only child Lois Elaine aged 12 years and 11 days. Her birthday was July 21. Lois Elaine had suffered with a heart ailment since last January after an attack of flu. A host of her small friends and acquaintances of her parents paid their last respects, while her remains lay in state at the Steele Funeral home Saturday and Sunday. Her birthday was July 21. Lois Elaine had suffered with a heart ailment since last January after an attack of flu. A host of her small friends and acquaintances of her parents paid their last respects, while her remains lay in state at the Steele Funeral home Saturday and Sunday. On Monday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock, a prayer service was held for relatives and close friends at the family home and at 2 o'clock funeral services were held at the Methodist church with Rev. Hawes officiating. Mrs. Starr, Mrs. Conger and Mrs. Gilbert furnished the music. Acting pallbearers were Jack and Elmer Nickolaus, Jr., Bernard Zwink and Leland Bauhardt. Leaving to mourn Lois Elaines [sic] death are her parents, Alonzo and Annie Larsen Quartz, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Quartz and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Out-of-town relatives and friends here to attend the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Larsen and Eleanor and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Larsen of West Burrow , Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Barton and daughter of Ravenna. Beulah, Bonnie Belle, Shirley and Marjorie Snyder of Kearney, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wheeler and Doris of Litchfield, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Smith of Rockville and Mrs. Dethlef Petersen and daughter Ella of California.
