Lorin Kasper, undersheriff, said Dr. Warren Freeborn was called and reported that to the best of his knowledge Mr. Cyr died from the electrocution. An autopsy was to be performed at St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia according to the Concordia. Loren Cyr was born September 24, 1914, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Cyr at Ames. He attended school south of Ames. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Far East with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion Posts at Clyde. He was married to Geneva Wagner at Clyde in 1946. They lived at Ames and he had been a manager of the elevator since the business was purchased by Continental Grain. Mr. Cyr is survived by his wife, three children, Janet of Marion; Kenneth of Concordia and Joyce of the home; two brothers, Harry and Edwin Cyr, both of Grand Junction, Colo.; and one grandchild, Mark Cyr of Concordia.
