A native of Union, she was the widow of Cecil Fortenberry and daughter of the late R.M. and Laura Russell Teaster. She was a member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of Montgomery Memorial United Methodist Church in Pacolet Mills. She was formerly employed with Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and the S.C. School for the Deaf and Blind. She was a Gold Star Mother and was first married to the late Johnnie Allen. Survivors... She was a member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of Montgomery Memorial United Methodist Church in Pacolet Mills. Survivors include two daughters, Patsy Littlejohn of the home and Myra Moss of Charleston; two sisters, Althea Hughes and Leila Phillips of Pacolet; a brother, Foy Teaster of Charleston; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Montgomery Memorial United Methodist Church in Pacolet Mills, conducted by the Revs. Jay Hatchell and David Brown. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at 12:15 p.m. The family is at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Donald Littlejohn, 310 W. Hillcrest Ave., Union. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Montgomery Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 427, Pacolet Mills, 29373 or to Duncan Acres United Methodist Church, 417 Rice Ave. Ext., Union, 29379.
