NELSON DIED ON TUESDAY Passed Away At Home Near Crisfield After Short Illness Funeral To Be Held This Afternoon At Asbury Mr. Lorenzo T. Nelson died at his home on the Sackertown road near Crisfield Tuesday afternoon, after an illness of several months. He was 68 years of age. A son of the late Lorenzo and Harriet Nelson, he was born and raised in this community and spent his life here. For many years he was successfully engaged in the seafood business, and was regarded as an expert in this industry. Mr. Nelson was a man of fine principles, honest, industrious and very capable. He had an excellent personality and made friends easily, whose friendship he valued highly. The community learned of his passing away with deep sadness. Funeral services will be held today, Friday, at 2:30 o'clock, at Asbury Methodist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. T. Rowlenson, and interment will be in the family plot in Asbury cemetery. Members of the Mens Bible Class of Asbury Church will be the pallbearers. Many lovely floral pieces were sent by grieving relatives and sorrowing friends to honor his memory. Mr. Nelson is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lydia Nelson, a foster son, Mr. Carlton Mason, and three sisters, Mrs. Manie Riggin, Mrs. Mary Beauchamp and Mrs. Margaret Lawson, and four brothers, Ralph, Elmer, John and James Nelson.
