Description	:	ELDERLY ASBURY MATRON DEAD Mrs. Margaret Nancy Lawson, highly respected elderly Asbury matron, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Acey Crockett in the Calvary section, Friday of last week. She had been in poor health for some years. She was 83 years of age. Mrs. Lawson was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Harriett Lawson Nelson, and the widow of the late S. Bates Lawson. She was a motherly type of person, having great pride in her husband and family, and was a good neighbor, sympathetic and understanding with a faculty for helpfulness beyond the ordinary. Read More	ELDERLY ASBURY MATRON DEAD Mrs. Margaret Nancy Lawson, highly respected elderly Asbury matron, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Acey Crockett in the Calvary section, Friday of last week. She had been in poor health for some years. She was 83 years of age. Mrs. Lawson was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Harriett Lawson Nelson, and the widow of the late S. Bates Lawson. She was a motherly type of person, having great pride in her husband and family, and was a good neighbor, sympathetic and understanding with a faculty for helpfulness beyond the ordinary. Her excellent qualities were recognized and appreciated by a large circle of friends who held her in deep affection, and in her declining days she was cheerful and appreciative of visits by neighbors and friends. Funeral services were held on Sunday in the Hinman Funeral Home here, conducted by the Rev. Frank A. Baker, pastor of Asbury Methodist Church. Interment was in Asbury Cemetery. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Acey Crockett and Mrs. Ira McCready, of this city; a son, Ralph Lawson of Baltimore; a step-son, Lawrence Lawson of Crisfield; one sister, Mrs. Mary Beauchamp, of this city; four brothers, James L. Nelson, Ralph Nelson, and Elmer Nelson of Crisfield, and John William Nelson of Ocean City; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
