Beasley was born June 26, 1884 in Propbetstown, Illinois to Charles and Mary Gould. At the age of five they moved to Smith Center, Kansas where she lived until a young woman then moving to Beatrice. In October 1911 she was united in marriage to Jacob C. Wade. To their union two sons were born, one dying in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death, June 1934. In June 1942 she married Elza C. Beasley. He preceded her in death, February 6, 1954. She was a member of the Methodist Church and attended "Senior Citizens" every Wednesday. She was also a member of the Salvation Army Home League and attended regularly. She enjoyed good health until her accident January 6th, 1960. As she was getting breakfast her clothing caught fire and she was severely burned about the body. After being rushed to the hospital her condition was considered good until about 3 o'clock in the afternoon when she went into shock and passed away shortly after 4 o'clock. The funeral was held at the Harman Mortuary with Rev. Jewitt and Major Boyington officiating. Burial was held in Pawnee City cemetery. Pallbearers were Elmer Emal, William Carrel, Marin Roebke, Ray Atwood, Ted Walters and L. e. Henderson. She is survived by one son, Clarence Wade and his wife, two grandchildren Richard and Patricia Wade and several nieces and nephews.
