Mitchell, Hubert Kapsch, Alfred Miller and Chas. Nedved. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. Louise Rudolph, the daughter of Jacob and Theresa Rudolph, was born October 6, 1883 at Peoria, Ill. There she attended the local schools and grew to womanhood. On Oct. 16, 1905, she was united in marriage with George Alig and they established their home on a farm near Metamora, Ill. They farmed there three years before moving to a farm near Pomeroy in Calhoun county, Iowa. For the past 31 years Mr. and Mrs. Alig have been residents of Pocahontas county, having resided on the same farm in Sherman township for 25 years. Only two weeks ago they moved to their fine new home which they recently purchased from Hugo Elsesser. Mrs. Alig’s condition became serious just two days after they had moved. Mrs. Alig was highly esteemed by all who knew her, and her friends were numbered by her wide acquaintance. While she was devoted to her husband and her family she was never too busy to help a neighbor or friend in need. Throughout her illness she always maintained a cheerful disposition and although her suffering was intense at times, never once was she heard to complain. She was a devout Catholic, and was always interested in the affairs of her church. Besides her husband, Mrs. Alig is survived by five daughters and five sons. The daughters are Mrs. Francis Slattery of Cylinder, Mrs. Donald Francis of Palmer, Mrs. Edward Albrecht of Clare, Mrs. Al Vodraska of Pocahontas and Arvilla at home. The sons are Wilbur of Rolfe, George Jr., of Fonda, Clem and Edward of Pocahontas and Maurice Alig, W.T.2/c, USNR, who is serving overseas. One son, Norbert died in 1929 at the age of 17. A sister, Mrs. Mamie English, died just four months ago at Pekin, Ill. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Pete Schnieder of Lourds, Ill. Fandel, Mr. and Mrs. George Besch and Mr. and Mrs. Will Fandel of Whittemore; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Elbert and Mrs. Emma Hilbert of Algona; Miss Maymie Ann Alig of Ames; Mrs. Alvina Seiler, Mrs. Isadore Rohman, and Mrs. John Wichtman of Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. Pete Schneider and daughter, Loretta of Lordes, Ill.
