Description	:	Source: Stanton Register, November 22, 1979 Louisa K. Gemelke was born Feb, 20, 1888. to Henry and Maria Mindemann Koehlmoos at rural Pilger. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church at Altona. On Mar. 9, 1911 she married Ernest Gemelke. To this union two sons and five daughters were born. Mrs. Gemelke and her husband were Instrumental in the founding of St John's Lutheran Church in Pilger in 1935, of which she was a charter member. Mrs. Gemelke died suddenly Nov 13, at the Stanton Nursing Home at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, her parents, two grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, Emil of Pilger and Herbert of Byron. Minn. and four daughters. Mrs. Viola Brueggeman of Norfolk, Mrs. Wilheima Kemper of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Anita Reimnitz of Corsica, S D. and Mrs. Mildred Janulewicz of North Platte.
