But came to Nebraska in March, 1885, locating in Nelson, where they have since resided. There were born to them six children, five of whom with the husband survive her: Mrs. Maggie Norwood of Nelson; Clarence Baker, in the government service on the U.S.S. Olympia; Hattie Pearl of Los Angeles, Calif.; Hazlett D. of Alliance; and Edna C. of Nelson, Nebr. Mrs. Baker in earlier life was a school teacher for a number of years. She has been a life-long Christian and member of the M.E. church (sic). Up 'till about the first of the year she was teaching her Sunday school class, although she had been failing in health for some years. The funeral occured (sic) Thursday after noon at 2:30 o'clock from the M.E. church (sic), the (sic) her Pastor, the Rev. W.W. Hull conducting the service. The pallbearers were all friends and neighbors coming from Clarington, Ohio, the former home of the deceased. They were W.T. Bottenfield, F.E. Bottenfield, W.C. Hein, M.A. Ruble, W.S. Ruble and F.A.
