She was born November 15, 1930 in Kensett, Arkansas to the late, Walter Cordell and Emma "Cable" Cordell Talley. On July 21, 1947, at White Oak, Arkansas, She was married to Norman Shelton. He preceded Her in death on January 4, 2018. She is survived by; Her children, Karen Turner and husband Danny, Dana Street, Keith Shelton and wife Cindy, Daughter-in-law Sterlene Shelton as well as one brother; Louie Cordell and wife Betty. She is also survived by; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded by her husband, parents, one brother; Bill Cordell one son; Larry Shelton, two son-in-laws, Bill Street and Don Allen, as well as six sisters; Mamie, Lottie, Donna, Dorothy, Vergie, and Charlene. Mrs. Shelton, was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church since 1952, where she had served in many positions, such as Sunday school teacher, president of ladies auxiliary and was a song leader. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking for her family and going to church. A private family graveside will be held, Saturday, March 21, 2020 in the Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector, Arkansas. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials may be donated to the Rector United Pentecost Church at Rector, Arkansas.
