Description	:	Norman Artie Shelton born August 29, 1928 to the late Artie and Gertie Shelton, departed this life January 4, 2018. He was a life long resident of Rector and retired farmer. He was a member of Rector United Pentecostal Church for 66 years where he served as deacon and song leader and played his mandolin and guitar. After retirement e spent his time with family and mowing lawns and helping people in Rector. That was his favorite past time. Read More	Norman Artie Shelton born August 29, 1928 to the late Artie and Gertie Shelton, departed this life January 4, 2018. He was a life long resident of Rector and retired farmer. He was a member of Rector United Pentecostal Church for 66 years where he served as deacon and song leader and played his mandolin and guitar. After retirement e spent his time with family and mowing lawns and helping people in Rector. That was his favorite past time. Survivors include his wife Louise (Cordell) Shelton of 70 years of the home, two daughters,; Karen and husband Danny Turner, Dana Street, one son; Keith and wife Cindy Shelton annd one daughter-in-law Sterlene Shelton. Five Brothers; Buell, Wayne, Dewey, Doyne and Byron Shelton. One sister Melda Cavaness. Seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and a special brother-in-law Louie Cordell and wife Betty. He was preceded in death by one son Larry Shelton, Two sons-in-laws Bill Street and Don Allen. Two brothers Burl and Claybourne Shelton, one sister Avis Adams and two infant brothers. Services will be held at 2:00 o.m. at the First United Pentecostal Church in Rector. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service. Brother Phillip LaRue, Louie Cordell and Michael Shelton will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery.
