Description	:	Louise D. Schillerstrom, age 91 of Fairfield, died Monday morning, February 29, 2016 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield. She was born February 6, 1925 at Pleasant Plain, Iowa, the daughter of Peter A. and Stella T. Wencel Shemanski. Louise graduated from Brighton High School and taught at the Germanville and Linn country schools. She worked at the Fairfield Glove & Mitten Factory from 1946 until 2000. Read More	Louise D. Schillerstrom, age 91 of Fairfield, died Monday morning, February 29, 2016 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield. She was born February 6, 1925 at Pleasant Plain, Iowa, the daughter of Peter A. and Stella T. Wencel Shemanski. Louise graduated from Brighton High School and taught at the Germanville and Linn country schools. She worked at the Fairfield Glove & Mitten Factory from 1946 until 2000. She married Ralph Schillerstrom on January 21, 1950. Louise was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Deceased family members include her husband Ralph on May 3, 1974, her parents and 3 brothers: Gene Shemanski, Stanley Shemanski and brother Raymond Shemanski in infancy. Surviving are her 3 daughter and their husbands: Jean and Bob Meinders of Ottumwa, Joni and husband Joel Rollinger of Decorah, Iowa and Jolene and husband Dennis of Lantana, Texas. Five grandchildren : Lisa ( Cliff) Duff, Melissa ( Robert) Hudgens, Ryan ( Megan) Meinders, Megan Elmore and Jenna Rollinger and 7 great grandchildren. Her step-children include Elizabeth West, Mary Jarvis and Roy Schillerstrom. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Nick Adam officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 9:30 until the time of the service at 10:30 A.M. Memorials may be made to the Polishville Association, and mailed to Bill Peck, 1157 Raspberry Ave., Brighton, Iowa 52540. Obituary & photo published by Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
