MRS. CARL BREDEMEIER Louisa Ebeling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm Ebeling, was born on October 23, 1882 in Borstel, Germany, and passed away on June 30, 1959 at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 7 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Bredemeier; by two sisters: Minnie Haffner, and one sister in infancy; and by two brothers: Carl and August Ebeling. In June 1892, she came to this country with her parents. They were met by their cousin, C. William Meier of DuBois. After spending the early days of her youth doing housework in the DuBois and Bern communities, she united in marriage with Carl Bredemeier on April 22, 1903. To this union were born two children, Velma, now Mrs. Arthur Albers of Steinauer and Fred of DuBois, with whom she lived since November when she could no longer be alone. Mrs. Bredemeier was a loving mother and grandmother, truly devoted to her family and many friends. She was a faithful member of the Friedens Evangelical Reformed Church since April 1897 when she reafirmed her faith through the rite of Confirmation. She was one of the first officers of the Women's Guild when it began, and she served in the Cradle Roll Department of the Sunday school for many years. During the past several years she has been in failing health. She spent several weeks in the Pawnee City and Lincoln hospitals the past year. Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Albers, and her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bredemeier; 8 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Anna Conrad, Salem, Oregon; one brother, Wilhelm Ebeling, DuBois, Nebr., and many other relatives and friends. Services were held in Friedens Church July 4th at 2:00 p.m. Mr. David Rinne sang, "In the Garden" and "The Lord's Prayer," accompanied by his wife at the organ. The pallbearers were Glen Bohm, Henry Tegtmeier, Albert Tegtmeier, Lawrence Meier, Frank Marteney, Ed Bohm.
