DIED—At her home in Sioux township, Plymouth county, Iowa, at 11:15 a.m., Saturday, October, 14, 1905, Mrs. Louise Elizabeth Gaunt (Gant), wife of Patrick Gaunt (Gant), of syncope, following an operation, aged 33, years, 5 months, 11 days. The whole community was greatly shocked Saturday noon on hearing of the sudden death of Mrs. Gaunt. (Gant). There are some people whom one meets that are so bright and pleasing in their ways and have such sunny disposition, one cannot connect them with the thought of death. Of such was the one who has just passed away. Louise Elizabeth Beaulieu, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bealieu, was born June 3, 1872, on their homestead farm on the Broken Kettle, Plymouth county, where she lived happily at home till in her sixteenth year, when she was united in marriage to Patrick Gaunt (Gant), October 14, 1887, and settled on Mr. Gaunt's farm three miles south of Westfield, where they have resided ever since. Mrs. Gaunt (Gant) was the mother of eleven children, ten of whom survive, with the h usband, to mourn the loss of a devoted mother and kind, loving wife, the oldent child, Laurette, being fifteen years of age and the youngest, Rita, fourteen months old. She also leaves a father and mother, who are quite elderly people and feel the loss deeply; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Thomas and Miss Leona, who lives with the parents in Westfield. A large number of friends gathered at the house Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. to accompany the remains to Akron, where services were held in St. Patrick's church, Father Sullivan officiating. Interment was mad in the Akron Catholic cemetery. All unite in sympathy with the bereaved families. Those who arrived from a distance to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Hodge and little daughters and Peter Beaulieu, from South Dakota.
