Mrs. Lovina Locker Meyer was born at Crown Point, Indiana, July 20, 1849, and passed from this life at her apartment in Grand Island last Monday morning, September 7, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 17 days. She was married to Fred Meyer, March 28, 1867. To them were born three children, two daughters and one son. Mrs. Lovina Locker Meyer was born at Crown Point, Indiana, July 20, 1849, and passed from this life at her apartment in Grand Island last Monday morning, September 7, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 17 days. She was married to Fred Meyer, March 28, 1867. To them were born three children, two daughters and one son. After living together for more than 63 years Mr. Meyer preceded her in death about one year and seven months. Her only son David passed from this life a little more than 20 years ago. After her marriage to Mr. Meyer she lived in Indiana for about seven years, then she moved with her husband and family to Joliet, Ill., and lived there about four years. About this time the family moved to Greeley county and took a homestead where they lived for more than 36 years. Later Mr. and Mrs. Meyer decided to move to town and built their home here where they lived the remaining years of their lives. It was only a few weeks ago since Mrs. Meyer moved to Grand Island. Mrs. Meyer leaves to survive her, two daughters, Mrs. Hattie Milne of Grand Island, and Mrs. Martha Hoke of Scotia. There are two brothers, Albert Locker of Scotia, and Edward Locker of Oswego, Ore. Seven grand children, two great grandchildren, several other distant relatives and many friends. Interment was made at the Scotia Cemetery, September 9th. Rev. G. A. Randall, pastor in charge.
