She was married to Ralph Bock on Nov. 25, 1945, at Hebron and they lived and farmed in rural Beatrice. She worked as a nurse aide at the Lutheran Hospital in Beatrice for 24 years and also at Beatrice Good Samaritan and Beatrice Manor, before her retirement. Bock, 86, of Beatrice died at the Beatrice Good Samaritan on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. She was born at Gilead and attended school at Hebron. She was married to Ralph Bock on Nov. 25, 1945, at Hebron and they lived and farmed in rural Beatrice. She worked as a nurse aide at the Lutheran Hospital in Beatrice for 24 years and also at Beatrice Good Samaritan and Beatrice Manor, before her retirement. She was a former member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Gilead, and was currently a member of the First Trinity Lutheran Church of rural Beatrice. She was a former member of the ladies aid of the church and an Extension club. She enjoyed embroidering, baking, flowers, her vegetable garden, visiting with friends and all music. Survivors include two sons, Lavern Bock and wife Olga of Mission Viego, Calif., and Alan Bock and wife Laura of Beatrice; two daughters, Diane White of Lincoln and Idonna Bragg of Prairie Village, KS; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Susan Bodtke of Oklahoma City, OK; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Elizabeth Pabst Bodtke; her husband Ralph, who died in 2006; one brother, Clarence Bodtke; two sisters, Evelyn Meyer and Viola Fangmeier. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the First Trinity Lutheran Church of rural Beatrice with Pastor Timothy W. Wagner officiating. Private burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of rural Beatrice. A memorial has been established to First Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund with the church elders in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice until 9 p.m. Friday and not at the church on Saturday. A guest book for signatures and messages of condolence is available online at www.foxfuneralhome.net. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice in charge of arrangements.
