Description	:	Lucille was born the daughter of Fred & Katherine (Koch) Herman. She attended school at Martha Washington, Green Hollow School and graduate from Colfax High School in 1939. Following graduation Lucille attended Sacramento Jr. College graduating in 1941. She worked for Bank of America in Sacramento for several years. Lucille returned to Colfax following the start of WWII and took a job at the ASC office. It was here that she met Frank Dober a Pullman/Albion farmer and they were married July 16, 1945. They farmed and lived in the Pullman/Albion area for many years until Frank's death in Feb. of... Read More	Lucille was born the daughter of Fred & Katherine (Koch) Herman. She attended school at Martha Washington, Green Hollow School and graduate from Colfax High School in 1939. Following graduation Lucille attended Sacramento Jr. College graduating in 1941. She worked for Bank of America in Sacramento for several years. Lucille returned to Colfax following the start of WWII and took a job at the ASC office. It was here that she met Frank Dober a Pullman/Albion farmer and they were married July 16, 1945. They farmed and lived in the Pullman/Albion area for many years until Frank's death in Feb. of 2000. They were married 55 years. Lucille remained on the farm until moving to Bishop Place in Pullman in May of 2004. Lucille was a life member of Peace Lutheran Church. A member of the Midway Ladies Club, a community club where she met and enjoyed many friends through both. She was an avid horse rider; she won Queen of the Palouse Fair & Rodeo in 1938. She shared her love of horses with her daughters & was a leader for her daughters 4-H Club for many years. Lucille was an accomplished pianist, playing for weddings, funerals, church and many hours at home. She enjoyed quilting & embroidery until she was 85 as well as swimming and walking for many years. In addition to her husband Lucille was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by 3 daughters Diana Hipp & husband Earl; Yvonne Stephens & husband Jake; Francine Dober; 4 grandsons Chad, Alan & Wayne Michael & Bryson Aase; 2 granddaughters Rachel Albrecht & Lisa Aase-McCoskey; 2 brothers Harold Herman & wife Beverly and Harvey Herman & wife Leona; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews relatives & friends.
